Introduction

The Company motto, Service for the Benefit of Wales / Gwasanaeth er Bydd Cymru set out in the Company Crest sums up the pride with which the Worshipful Livery Company of Wales meets its objectives by providing awards, travel scholarships and bursaries to assist the young people of Wales to develop their future career in the arts, science and technology.

The Company now comprises some 200 Liverymen (Liverymen being used generically to denote both men and women) being drawn from all parts of Wales and other parts of the United Kingdom. Application forms for membership can be obtained from the Clerk using the Contact Us facility above or directly from the website (see below).  Application for membership must be supported by two Liverymen and should, in the first instance, be forwarded to the Clerk.  Liverymen who are members of a London Livery Company need be supported by at least one Liveryman of the Worshipful Livery Company of Wales.

The principal objective of the Company is to assist the young people of Wales, by making awards, grants and bursaries currently running at over£30,000 per year contributed by Liverymen, the Company Charitable Trust and external donations.

The Company will shortly be introducing a new automated payment system using an external provider for the collection of annual membership fees (known as quarterage), payment for attendance at events and for the purchase of Company goods such as umbrellas, ties, cufflinks, brooches, etc.  In line with current legislation, the Company is required to publish the terms and conditions under which payment will be collected.
